BIOGRAPHY
JOJANE PEARL HIPONIA, started her journalistic career in 1999 as part of her school’s publication. With her mother’s influence, she maintained the craft for years. In 2004, being inspired by her first love (now ex), a photo-enthusiast, she upgraded into photography. And from then on, she had never fallen out of it.
Being a consistent journalist from her elementary to college years, she continues to develop in her chosen field. Aside from writing, she tried a hand on layout designs, visual arts, and theater.
She’s a sport chic who loves to involve herself in whatever sports such as badminton, basketball, frisbee, darts and formerly a member of the MSU Titans, the university varsity team.
She had a frantic obsession about going outdoors and shooting interesting subjects like portraits of children, sunsets, beach and documenting things connected to her.
In 2008, she had her first compact digital camera a CANON IXY digital 930 IS, and became a frustrated photographer. Her addiction for digital photography led to her local collection of works posted on her facebook account. The post had made impact mostly on her friends and some local clients. This had open up more shoot invitations where she can take a hold of DSLRs owned by her clients.
The 21 year-old Ilongga, graduated a degree in English majors in Literature and Linguistics at Mindanao State University General Santos City, plans to own her first DSLR from her salary. Also on her bucket list is the chance to tour beautiful spots around the Phillipines and try more outdoor adventures.
I am JOJANE. A blood-donor, an environmentalist, philanthropist and an artist who loves to discover the customs and truths behind the diversity of cultures in Southern Mindanao.
